This music video was shot in New York City back in 2006. For four hours Andy and a camera man hit the streets of (mainly) the lower east side. Armed with a ghetto blaster and the lyrics printed out, Andy asked random people to sing a line or two... or three... and a chorus if they were good. Every single person shot that day made it into the video. It was a lot of fun!
Shot over five days up and down the North Island of New Zealand on 35mm film with a three man crew (including DOP Andrew Stroud). There was a plan of what towns to travel to (Kaikohe, Hokianga, Ngaruawahia, Te Teko, Minginui,...) and then from there, the crew turned up, Andy Morton found people, kids, interesting spots and used the real people in their real home towns. The goal was for this to be a perfect time capsule piece an is a great example of Andy's ability to find the interesting and beautiful in every day, ordinary life.
